Applications to Istanbul Technical University's graduate-level programs for 2025-2026 Spring Term have started!

Scholarship Announcement – Part-Time Researchers to be Hired for the Arctic Energy Project

As part of the Arctic Energy Project, led by Prof. Dr. Orhan İnce, a faculty member at Istanbul Technical University's Department of Environmental Engineering, four part-time scholars will be hired to work on six different research topics.

A Leading Role in the Circular Economy

Organized under the leadership of Assoc. Prof. Dr. İmge Akçakaya Waite, the New Horizons workshop brought together researchers and stakeholders from across Europe in Istanbul to explore circular economy-focused collaboration. ITU PhD student Cihan Mert Sabah took part in this interdisciplinary platform, contributing to and expanding an international research network.

Rethinking the Streets

Within the ACCTRA project, active contributions are made to the planning, data analysis, and social acceptance processes of the micromobility lane application in Istanbul. The project offers a comparative evaluation of local solutions for sustainable transportation and street transformation on an international scale.

Three Graduate Programs Receive EUR-ACE Quality Labels in Official Ceremony

The Earthquake Engineering, Coastal Sciences and Engineering, and Textile Engineering master's programs have been awarded the EUR-ACE quality label.

PhD Graduation Ceremony" will be held on Thursday, July 04, 2024 at 14.00 at Süleyman Demirel Cultural Center. Our graduates who have the title of "PhD" will only be participating.

The 2024–2025 Doctoral Graduation Ceremony will be held in two sessions on Friday, July 11, 2025, at 10:00 AM and 2:30 PM at the Süleyman Demirel Cultural Center.

2024-2025 Undergraduate and Graduate Graduation Ceremony

The undergraduate and master’s graduation ceremony, where you will crown your success as a #ITUGraduateSchool graduate, will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at ITU Stadium.

Regarding Submission of Thesis Proposals and Progress Reports

The deadline for submitting thesis proposals and progress reports via the Student Information System is June 30, 2025. Submissions after this date will not be accepted.

A Millennium of Hidden Clues in Sediments

"While analyzing sediment cores from the sea, I was fascinated to realize that each layer holds a climatic message from thousands of years ago. Through this project, I not only developed technical skills, but also learned to think like a researcher, collaborate within a team, and work with large-scale data."
