After receiving her bachelor's degree from ITU Chemical Engineering Program in 1983, Prof. Dr. F. Seniha Güner worked as a Chemical Engineer at Bitlis Holding-Şark Mensucat between 1984-1987. In 1987, she started to work as an engineer in the Department of Chemical Engineering at ITU. She received her master's degree from ITU Chemical Engineering Program in 1990 and her doctorate degree in 1993. Between 1997 and 1998, she did her post-doctoral studies at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology with a scholarship from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) for 16 months. She has been working as a faculty member in the Department of Chemical Engineering at ITU since 1994.

The main research activities of Prof. Dr. F. Seniha Güner, who served as the chairman of the Department Accreditation and Scholarship Commission; polymer-based material design for biomedical applications, polymer composite materials and polymer rheology. Prof. Dr. F. Seniha Güner, who is a researcher in the multidisciplinary MANUNET III project and an executive in projects supported by the State Planning Organization and TÜBİTAK, has one patent.

Assoc. Prof. Reşat Atalay Oyguç
 

Assoc. Prof. Reşat Atalay Oyguç received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Civil Engineering from Yıldız Technical University and earned his Ph.D. in Structural and Earthquake Engineering from Istanbul Technical University in 2011. Having received the title of Associate Professor in 2018, Dr. Oyguç continues his work in the fields of structural safety and disaster management.

His research activities focus on advanced engineering solutions, including seismic performance and capacity assessment of existing reinforced concrete structures, three-dimensional dynamic analysis of irregular buildings, seismic isolation, and innovative retrofitting techniques. He conducted post-doctoral research at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and the University of Houston, participating in international projects concerning the structural integrity and seismic safety of nuclear power plants. In addition to his scientific research, he has managed international accreditation and educational processes at ITU, serving as a coordinator for Erasmus, MÜDEK, and EELISA.

Onur Ferhanoğlu received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bilkent University in 2003 and 2005, respectively. Subsequently, he completed his PhD at Koç University to develop microelectromechanical system (MEMS) based thermal imaging sensors. From 2011 to 2014, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Texas at Austin, where he played a pivotal role in the development of ultrafast laser microsurgical scalpels. He has been working at Istanbul Technical University, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering since 2014. His research interests include Biomedical Optics and MEMS.

Mustafa Özkartal was born in 1974 in Yıldızeli district of Sivas. After completing his primary, secondary and high school education in Sivas, he completed his higher education at Atatürk University Erzincan Vocational School between 1992-1994. Following his higher education, he completed his military service between 1995-1997. He started to work at Istanbul Technical University in November 1997 and was appointed to the student affairs unit at the Institute of Science and Technology in 1998. While continuing his duty at ITU, he successfully completed his education at Anadolu University, Open Education Faculty, Department of Economics in 2001-2005. He took part in student information processing, student personal transactions, student military service procedures, occupational health and safety commission and graduate student orientation processes within the institute. Mustafa Özkartal is the Secretary of Istanbul Technical University Graduate Education Institute and is married and has two children.

Prof. Dr. Sema ERENTÜRK completed her undergraduate education at Ege University, Faculty of Science, Department of Chemistry. She received her master's and doctorate degrees at Ege University, Institute of Nuclear Sciences. In 2007, she received the title of professor at Ege University Institute of Nuclear Sciences and started to work at Istanbul Technical University Energy Institute in 2010, and in 2013 she was appointed as a professor at the Energy Institute, Department of Nuclear Research. Since 2021, she has been the Head of the Department of Energy Science and Technology. 

Prof. Dr. Sema ERENTÜRK's main research interests include nuclear and radioactive waste management, design and production of landfill components, environmental and radiological risk assessments, production of radiation armor materials and evaluation of their performance.
