A minimum GPA of 3.00 is required for students applying to a Ph.D. program with a Bachelor's degree.

ALES / GRE Exam Score
Academic Personnel and Postgraduate Education Entrance Exam (ALES) result document: The ALES score cannot be less than the base score of 55, and for candidates applying for a Ph.D. directly after a Bachelor's degree, the ALES score cannot be less than 80. For those who have completed a Master's degree and taken a break of at most one semester, their previously obtained ALES document is accepted regardless of its validity period.
A GRE result document is also acceptable for all students. A minimum of 610 points from the quantitative section of the GRE exam is required, which is accepted as equivalent to the ALES minimum base score of 55. Click here for ALES-GRE equivalence tables.

Program-Specific Requirements
The minimum ALES and GPA requirements requested on a program basis may vary. The values stated above represent the general requirements; all our graduate programs can announce higher score limits in accordance with the Education and Training Regulations. At the same time, the ALES requirement may not be sought in some non-thesis programs.
Therefore, the special conditions announced during the application periods of the programs should be checked.
