Great Demand for ITU Graduate Courses from TU12 Technical Universities Association Students!

Within the framework of the TU12 alliance, the most requested and accepted courses by students from TU12 universities in the joint graduate courses were those offered by the ITU Graduate Education Institute programs at ITU.

Muhammet Fatih Sadak, a student of the Department of Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering Program, was awarded the second prize in the Graduate Thesis Competition organized by the IEEE GRSS Turkey Section.

Our Master’s Graduate Awarded Second Prize by Azercosmos

Our graduate from the Master’s Program in Satellite Communications and Remote Sensing has been awarded second prize in the Earth Observation Competition organized by Azercosmos. We congratulate our graduate and wish continued success.

Graduation Ceremony Dates for the 2025–2026 Academic Year Announced

In accordance with the decision of the Istanbul Technical University Senate, the graduation ceremony dates for doctoral, undergraduate, and master’s programs in the 2025–2026 academic year have been determined. Further details will be announced later.

Reminder: Applications Are Still Open for TU12 Joint Graduate Elective Courses

Within the scope of the Union of Technical Universities (TU12), a total of 19 joint elective graduate courses are proposed to be delivered online in the Spring Semester of the 2025–2026 Academic Year, open to graduate students of all technical universities. Of these courses, 12 will be offered in Turkish and 7 in English, and the application/approval and enrollment processes will be coordinated by the relevant institutes in line with quotas and institutional procedures.

The content within the booklet reflects our philosophy that research is not a static milestone, but a dynamic, evolving process that gains strength through cross-disciplinary engagement.

2025–2026 Spring Special Student Admissions

Applications for special student status for the Spring Semester of the 2025–2026 Academic Year will be accepted between February 9, 2026 and February 13, 2026.

The application process for the 2025–2026 Spring Term Master’s and PhD programs at Istanbul Technical University Graduate School has officially started.

Notification on the Thesis Submission Process for Students Who Will Submit Their PhD Theses in the Fall Semester of the 2025–2026 Academic Year

PhD students who will submit their theses in the 2025–2026 Fall semester are required to complete the thesis submission process via the Process Management Student Interface on OBS by January 2, 2026. The required documents and submission details are outlined in this announcement.

Thesis Submission Process Notification for Graduate Students Submitting Their Master's Thesis in the Fall Semester of the 2025-2026 Academic Year

Master's students who are in their 6th semester in the 2025-2026 Fall semester must submit their theses by January 2, 2026, the end of the 2025-2026 Fall semester, via the Process Management Student Interface on https://obs.itu.edu.tr.

Submission of Doctoral Thesis Proposal/Monitoring Reports

The submission of Doctoral Thesis Proposal/Monitoring Reports will be made through the Student Process Management Interface tab in the Process Management Application available in the Student Information Management System (https://obs.itu.edu.tr).

Graduation Ceremonies for Doctoral and Master's Degrees for the 2024-2025 Academic Year were Held

As ITU Graduate School, the graduation ceremonies we organized for our graduates who successfully completed their doctoral and master's programs in the 2024-2025 academic year were held with great enthusiasm on July 11 and 12, 2025. A total of 1,671 alumni (371 PhD, 1,300 Master's) celebrated this special milestone of their academic careers with their families, faculty and friends.
